Lars PedersenContinuous Delivery, DevOps, Ruby On Rails & Unix
Experienced DevOps programmer who has been working in Unix/Linux environments since 1990. I have a strong interest in software development processes/tools and have many times defined branching / merging models when innovation got stuck.
I'm a strong believer in leading by example and have many times introduced "new" technology for cost-effectively optimize the work process. Examples include:
- VNC for Windows server management in 1996 - saved us walking to the server room
- VNC instead of Exceed for Linux development
- Ruby On Rails instead of PHP for web development
- Git instead of CM/Synergy for a much better agile workflow in 2011

Senior Software Engineer at Nokia
As a software release manager in Nokia S40 I co-developed processes that allowed the organization to scale from developing one product at a time to 10s of products. This included design and development of a product documentation tool written in Ruby on Rails which was instrumental in changing a global multi-site project organization away from sharing project data in email shared XLS files to a web-based database system.
